In the 17th Independent Peat Expert Working Group (IPEWG) meeting, the members met in-person for the first time since the pandemic began in their 6-10 June 2022 in Pangkalan Kerinci, Riau, Indonesia. IPEWG helps APRIL in fulfilling its commitment in the Sustainable Forest Management Policy (SFMP 2.0) related to its peatland operations, as well as to ascertain how APRIL can best manage its peatland concessions in a responsible manner. Method
Waste disposed is recorded through various means of measurement including estimation of weight by waste type. Particular waste types as described above are measured as a wet waste and converted to a bone dry (BD) weight. The wet waste weight is multiplied by the consistency of each waste type to determine the BD. The consistency is predetermined by the lab.
