{"id":13465,"date":"2021-12-20T11:01:22","date_gmt":"2021-12-20T03:01:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/april.hellopomelo.space\/articles\/community-farm-helps-women-improve-family-income\/"},"modified":"2021-12-20T11:01:22","modified_gmt":"2021-12-20T03:01:22","slug":"community-farm-helps-women-improve-family-income","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/april.hellopomelo.space\/id\/articles\/community-farm-helps-women-improve-family-income\/","title":{"rendered":"Community Farm Helps Women Improve Family Income"},"content":{"rendered":"<div itemprop=\"articleBody\" class=\"page-inner-wrapper\">\n<p>A key part of our APRIL2030 commitment is to promote economic growth and provide inclusive opportunities for women \u2013 and where better to start than right on our doorstep?<\/p>\n<p>BULAT KB is a group of 22 wives of APRIL Group employees who came together to set up a sustainable farm in our <a href=\"https:\/\/april2030.aprilasia.com\/greencomplex\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Riau Complex<\/a> in Pangkalan Kerinci.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin-right: auto; margin-left: auto; display: block;\" src=\"https:\/\/april.hellopomelo.space\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/rge-april-berry-csr--pineapple-gardening.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>With support from the company, the women set up the farm a year ago to grow <a href=\"\/en\/our-media\/articles\/why-plant-based-food-are-taking-off\">organic vegetables<\/a>. The produce is sold to local residents to provide them with healthy food, while helping the women supplement the family income.<\/p>\n<p>When the women first approached APRIL Group, the company was happy to help. We provided them with training, equipment, seeds and a plot of land.<\/p>\n<p>Best sellers include organic spinach, long beans, and mustard greens, which are marketed via WhatsApp, which enables customers to pre-order their pick.
