We began exploring solar energy in 2021, installing 1 MW of solar panel capacity. In 2024 that has grown to 26.3 MW of energy, allowing <a href=\"\/en\/about-us\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">APRIL<\/a> to double our 2030 solar capacity target from 25 MW to 50 MW.<\/p>\n<p>We are also introducing solar energy at our plantation estates. The first trial took place at the Pelalawan estate in 2023, with a 0.5 MW installation. This helped reduce diesel consumption by 40%. Based on these promising results, APRIL continues to expand solar energy to 23 of our 33 estates.
