The Stakeholder Advisory Committee (SAC) held its tenth meeting on 23-25 May, 2017 in Pangkalan Kerinci, Riau to discuss items including the status of Action Plans and SAC\u2019s prior recommendations, research and development for yield improvement as well as Indonesia\u2019s peatland regulation.<\/p>\n
Members of the Stakeholder Advisory Committee (SAC) also visited the Badagu community in Langgam village, to discuss APRIL\u2019s forestry engagement with community leaders. APRIL has had a long-term cooperative forestry program with the Badagu community since 2004, but there is concern within the community of potential impacts from the peatland regulations.
